When Ian was born he was very bruised, especially his face and hand. Because of all the bruising he was jaundice, his bilirubin levels went up to 17.8. As a result the doctor ordered that Ian spend his first couple days at home on a Bilibed in order to help lower the bilirubin levels. He was only on the bed for two days and his levels rebounded very quickly.
